1. Try to destroy the reflection of the parallel wall

Parallel walls, like the ground and ceiling, may produce infinite reflection, thus presenting "multiple echoes" and making the noise worse. You can slap your hands vigorously. If you hear the echo, you will find that there are some problems in the listening room. Bookshelves, especially the shelves of random books, can be used as the disperser of sound waves to cut off the reflection of those parallel surfaces. Although there are many specialized sound dispersive screens for sale, a few bookshelves in the sound room can be quite effective.

2. Hang a window cloth on the window

In some concert halls, glass is always protected from reflection. In the listening room, because the walls are very close, the reflection of the glass is very boring. You can try to hang some window cloth on the windows and pull the window cloth when listening to music. In addition, don't put bookcase and furniture with glass front panel in the listening room.

3. Lay a thick carpet

The reflection of sound waves is the most serious. Although carpet is not effective at low frequencies, the main thing to do is to try to absorb some high frequency reflections. The early reflexes of the head 5mS (milliseconds) or a few milliseconds later after the direct sound will become part of the direct sound, and as they come from the same direction, they will be heard. We should prevent the sound of pure speakers from being mixed with the high frequency sound reflected from the ground. Because it is not likely to add soft cushions to the ceiling, if you don't lay a carpet on the ground, there will be two parallel and reflective surfaces, and sound waves will reflect back and forth between the ground and the ceiling, making it difficult to sound.

4.Paste some bubbles on the "mirror reflection point" of the treble unit.

Unless the vacant ceiling is as big as a church, foam blocks should be pasted in the "mirror reflection point" of every sound unit of the loudspeaker. The "mirror reflection point" refers to such a point: when a mirror is placed on a point on the ceiling (or ground), a high sound unit in the mirror can be seen from the listening position. Although the disposal of ceilings does not have to be as strict as the disposition to the ground, proper disposal can still be beneficial. Compared to figure 1 and Figure 2, it can be seen that the hearing environment in the room has been improved when the mirror reflection point of the ceiling is attached to a foam of no more than 0.1m2 in area of a few millimeters thick.

5.Can't let the reverberation be too long

Sticking small foam blocks at mirror reflection points will not cause excessive changes in the listening room. But if you stick a big piece of foam or hang up a pretty thick window cloth, it will make the music replayed because of too much sound absorption. Thin and light sound absorbing materials will absorb high frequency very well, but they will not have effect on low frequency. Generally, the thickness of sound absorbing material is roughly the same as that of half a wavelength of sound wave. As for the sound wave of 10kHz, the wavelength is only 3.4cm, so the foam of several centimeters thick can absorb high frequency.
